Nigeria Journal of Business Education (NIJBED) was incorporated on 16th September 2014 with ISSN 2408-4816 by the Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), a joint professional body bringing together all business education teachers and researchers in all the secondary and tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
The first issue of the journal was published that year, and from then till date, several issues have been published in both print and online. The online version was established in June 2018. In September 2020, the online ISSN (i.e., eISSN) was registered with the following number: 2756-5912.
