ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE REVOLUTION IN BUSINESS EDUCATION: PROSPECTS, CHALLENGES, AND ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
Abstract
This article employs a qualitative content analysis design, examining peer-reviewed articles, institutional reports from UNESCO, OECD, and the World Bank, as well as policy documents from educational institutions. The research addresses key questions regarding AI‘s pedagogical benefits, implementation challenges, and ethical risks in business education. It explores the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI), emphasizing its potential to reshape teaching methods, learning experiences, and administrative processes. The study highlights opportunities such as personalized learning, interactive simulations, and enhanced data-driven decision- making, which collectively prepare students for an AI-driven business environment. It also discusses significant challenges including faculty training, infrastructure development, curriculum redesign, and ensuring equitable access to AI technologies. Ethical considerations remain central, underscoring the need to prevent biases and inequalities in AI applications within educational settings. By synthesizing current research and expert perspectives, this work offers a comprehensive framework for responsibly and effectively integrating AI in business education, aiming to cultivate future leaders who are both technologically skilled and ethically aware, especially in the Nigerian context.
